Fire Safety

Thursday we talked about meeting places here and at home... a safe place to go if the fire sounds. We talked about dialing 911 in an emergency and what is an emergency. Some of the kiddos knew what street they live on and most knew what town. This is important information to teach our children. We talked about smoke and how it rises... it's important to go under it if your house if full of smoke. We practiced crawling under smoke with our tunnel.

This week we had so much fun learning about seeds and flowers. Some of my favorite books from this week were The Tiny Seed   and Grow Flower, Grow!  We painted with watercolor paint and we made flowers with fork prints! We planted Marigolds, Zinnias, and Sunflower seeds! We already have a sprout! Our VIP shared his poster and some of his favorite things!

First Week

We read "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes" We love Pete the Cat! The kiddos helped me sing the singing parts. We played outside, and for Table Time we explored Finger Paint. We also had plenty of time for classroom play and motor room too!

Winter

Last week we talked about winter. We made it snow in a jar, played in shaving cream "snow" and painted with puffy snow paint. Our VIP shared his poster, his favorite books, and had a special lunch guest!
