Eggs

Chickens Aren't the Only Ones was one of our books this week. We learned that animals that lay eggs are called oviparous. Tuesday, the weather was so nice we took our art outside! We painted with liquid sidewalk chalk we made by mixing cornstarch, water, and liquid watercolor. Wednesday, we cut pictures out of magazines of animals and we glued them on either the born from eggs side or the born alive side of the paper. Thursday, we painted with feathers. Friday, we drew a picture of an animal inside an egg and then cut out a cracked egg to put over the top to look like it was hatching. Our VIP shared her poster, some of her favorite things  and her Adventures with Norman!

This week we had so much fun learning about seeds and flowers. Some of my favorite books from this week were The Tiny Seed   and Grow Flower, Grow!  We painted with watercolor paint and we made flowers with fork prints! First Week

We read "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes" We love Pete the Cat! The kiddos helped me sing the singing parts. We played outside, and for Table Time we explored Finger Paint. We also had plenty of time for classroom play and motor room too!

Winter

Last week we talked about winter. We made it snow in a jar, played in shaving cream "snow" and painted with puffy snow paint. Our VIP shared his poster, his favorite books, and had a special lunch guest!
