All About Me

This week is about getting to know each other a little bit better. We read "I Like Myself" and then looked in a mirror and said what we liked best about ourselves. We sent home a bag for the children to bring in something special to share with their friends. The real goal of this activity is to get them comfortable standing in front of and talking to our group of friends. Our first public speaking lesson. We then did face art for table time.

This week we had so much fun learning about seeds and flowers. Some of my favorite books from this week were The Tiny Seed   and Grow Flower, Grow!  We painted with watercolor paint and we made flowers with fork prints! We planted Marigolds, Zinnias, and Sunflower seeds! We already have a sprout! Our VIP shared his poster and some of his favorite things!

First Week

We read "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes" We love Pete the Cat! The kiddos helped me sing the singing parts. We played outside, and for Table Time we explored Finger Paint. We also had plenty of time for classroom play and motor room too!

Winter

Last week we talked about winter. We made it snow in a jar, played in shaving cream "snow" and painted with puffy snow paint. Our VIP shared his poster, his favorite books, and had a special lunch guest!
