New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! The kiddos were so excited to be back with their friends this week! I had one New Year book "Squirrel's New Year's Resolution" we also read "Even Superheroes Have Bad Days" and my favorite books from when I was a child "Never Tease a Weasel" and 'The Monster at the End of this Book." We started our journal/notebooks this week. The purpose of our notebooks is getting pencils in our kiddos hands. For art this week we did a little bit of everything... paint, watercolors, paint sticks, shaving cream, play dough, kinetic sand, even some cutting and gluing! We had a great first week back from Christmas break!!

This week we had so much fun learning about seeds and flowers. Some of my favorite books from this week were The Tiny Seed   and Grow Flower, Grow!  We painted with watercolor paint and we made flowers with fork prints! We planted Marigolds, Zinnias, and Sunflower seeds! We already have a sprout! Our VIP shared his poster and some of his favorite things!

First Week

We read "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes" We love Pete the Cat! The kiddos helped me sing the singing parts. We played outside, and for Table Time we explored Finger Paint. We also had plenty of time for classroom play and motor room too!

Winter

Last week we talked about winter. We made it snow in a jar, played in shaving cream "snow" and painted with puffy snow paint. Our VIP shared his poster, his favorite books, and had a special lunch guest!
