Hibernation Jan 25-29

Last week we learned what animals do in the winter. We learned that some hibernate, some migrate, and some just enjoy the cold weather! Some of the books we read were Hibernation Station, A Loud Winter's Nap, and Not a Buzz to be Found. We painted icy pictures, painted with liquid water color, and regular water color. We also made snow paintings by using bubble wrap as a painting tool. Our VIP shared his poster and some of his favorite books. He even helped me read his "Gruffalo" book. We started a long process science activity with the kiddos and put rocks in a rock tumbler!

This week we had so much fun learning about seeds and flowers. Some of my favorite books from this week were The Tiny Seed   and Grow Flower, Grow!  We painted with watercolor paint and we made flowers with fork prints! First Week

We read "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes" We love Pete the Cat! The kiddos helped me sing the singing parts. We played outside, and for Table Time we explored Finger Paint. We also had plenty of time for classroom play and motor room too!

Winter

Last week we talked about winter. We made it snow in a jar, played in shaving cream "snow" and painted with puffy snow paint. Our VIP shared his poster, his favorite books, and had a special lunch guest!
